Free medical mission sa eye problems gilan-aw sa Bukidnon

Isa ka free medical mission nga maghatag sa kasolbaran sa depektibong panan-aw ang pagahatagan sa pagtagad sa dili madugay

Ang provincial government sa Bukidnon sa isa ka kasayoran, mibutyag nga nangandam na kini alang sa pakigtimbayayong sa kaabag nga grupo.

Ang Fred Hollows Foundation nga gipangunahan sa ilang Country Manager nga si Dr. Maria Victoria Rondaris, isa ka International Non-Government Organization pormal nga nakigtagbo kang Gov. Rogelio Neil P. Roque sa Provincial Governor’s Office Conference Room, Kaamulan Park, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon kaniadtong Enero 22, 2024.

Ang Fred Hollows Foundation nakatakdang muhatag og serbisyo sa katawhan nga adunay problema sa panan-aw.

Pinaagi sa gihan-ay nga free medical mission, mapahimuslan sa katawhan nga nagkinahanglan niini nga serbisyo; ang libre nga antipara ug financial assistance alang sa optometrists nga mag-assist sa maong kalihukan alang sa libre nga opera.

Kini isa ka 4-year project nga gititulohan og “Eye Health System Strengthening Project” nga nakalinya sa DOH-National Prevention of Blindness Program.

Sumala sa kasayoran, kung masugdan sa Bukidnon, mao kini ang pinaka-una sa Mindanao.

Goiter awareness gilusad sa Bukidnon

Ang Iodine Global Network milusad og Thyro Mobile Medical Mission sa Bukidnon sa Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City kaniadtong Oktubre 16, 2023

Katimbayayong sa grupo ang Rotary Club of Malaybalay City ug Bukidnon Provincial Medical Centre (BPMC).

Ang mga kalihukan gilangkuban sa goiter screening, thyroid ultrasound, blood testing sa thyroid hormone, urine testing sa iodine level, ug salt testing sa iodine levels. Lakip sa kalihukan ang pagpasabot kabahin sa Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) ngadto sa mga mitambong ug press conference.

Si Rtn Dr Teofilo San Luis, kinsa isa sa mga focal person mibutyag nga ang Bukidnon lakip sa 15 ka mga probinsya sa Pilipinas nga taas og kaso sa iodine deficiency.

Kini iyang gi-base sa ulahi nga datos sa Department of Science and Technology – Food and Nutrition Research Institute.

Ingon niya, kasagaran sa gaka igo sa goiter mao ang mga babae.

Ang gitutokan sa kalihukan mao ang mga babae nga anaa sa reproductive age kon nag edad og 15 ngadto 49 anyos matod sa United Nations.

CHO mipahigayon og IEC sa leptospirosis, medical mission

Nagpasiugda ang Malaybalay City Health Office (CHO) team og isa ka medical mission niadtong Enero 19, 2023 sa covered court, Brgy. Sinanglanan, Malaybalay City

Base sa pahibalo sa lokal nga panggamhanan, gawas sa konsultasyon ug tambal, ang CHO team naghatag usab sa mga katawhan og kahibalo sa peligro nga sakit nga posible makuha panahon sa baha.

Ang CHO team nagpakita sa ilang suporta ug nagpaambit sa ilang mga kahibalo bahin sa epekto sa Leptospirosis atubangan sa mga residente sa maong barangay.

Uban usab ang CHO nurses ug mga kawani, ilang gipasabot nga mag-amping kanunay kung musuong sa bahaon nga lugar. Ang maong kondisyon pwede matambalan pinaagi sa pag inom og antibiotic. (Omar Rashid Z. Abdullah)

Medical mission for flood victims held at Brgy Sinanglanan

The City Health Office, headed by Dr. Dennis P. Sangalang, recently conducted a medical mission for flood victims in Barangay Sinanglanan on Jan. 19, 2023. The team consisted of doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals who volunteered their time to provide much-needed care to those affected by the floods

The medical mission was set up in the covered court, where the health workers were able to provide a range of services, including medical consultations, laboratory tests, and vaccinations. They also distributed essential medicines and provided information on proper nutrition, disease prevention, and hygiene to help prevent the spread of illness.

The team worked determinedly to help as many people as possible, seeing over 188 patients in just one day. Many patients had been temporarily displaced from their homes and without access to medical care for some time. The health workers provided much-needed relief to those suffering from various health issues, including respiratory infections and skin diseases sustained during the floods.

The medical mission was a huge success, with many patients expressing gratitude for their care. The health workers were able to provide a lifeline to those affected by the floods, and both the local community praised their efforts.

The health workers were not only providing medical care but also inviting resource speakers from different sections in the City Health Office to provide education on how to keep healthy, and well-nourished, and prevent leptospirosis, which Nurse Fiona Dapigran, Jenny Jumamoy from Sanitation, Jezza Nina Marie Vega, and El Jene Lopena from Nutrition rendered. The opening program was also graced by Dr. Kim T. Luardo, our city’s medical physician. (CHO-NADA)

Luyungan IP youth receives medical mission, relief goods

MALAYBALAY CITY (Jan.31) – The City Government of Malaybalay through the initiative of the Office of the City Mayor extended another round of assistance to 198 deserving students of Luyungan Indigenous Peoples (IP) High School at Nasuli, Brgy. Bangcud, Malaybalay City.

Known to be the first IP High School in Southeast Asia, it is the home and school of young students from the seven tribes of Bukidnon.

These children sought refuge in our City for regular schooling while preserving their culture and identity.

Roberto T. Flores, executive assistant to the Mayor led the team to share these gifts through conducting medical missions and giving of relief goods on January 24, 2020.

Flores inspected the school facilities and dormitories, listening to their concerns and needs in terms of sanitation, water provision, electricity, and their sustainable programs.

The school head, on the other hand, expressed gratitude from stakeholders for helping these IP students who are inching their way to fulfill their hopes and dreams for a better future despite the challenges.

Among the generous sponsors were members of the Bukidnon State University Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative who donated boxes of hygiene kits.
