Programa sa clean and green sa kabarangayan gisusi sa LGU-Malaybalay

Gilantaw na sa City Clean and Green Evaluators ang nahimo sa mga kabarangayan pinaagi sa pagpahigayon sa tinuig nga Search for the Cleanest and Greenest Barangay

Nunot kini sa makanunayon nga paningkamot sa lokal nga Pangagamhanan sa Malaybalay nga masiguro ang kalimpyo ug kahapsay sa kalikopan.

Sumala sa kasayoran sa kagamhanang lokalsa Malaybalay, ang evaluation napatuman subay sa direktiba ni Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran.

Gisuta sa evaluating team nga gibahin sa duha ka grupo niadtong Pebrero 1-23, 2024 ang 46 ka barangay kabahin sa kinatibuk-ang kalimpyo sa palibot pinaagi sa ilang lakang ug stratehiya nga nahimo.

Gilantaw sab sa evaluating team ang pagpakita sa pinasahi nga inisyatiba sa kabarangayan sa pagprotekta sa kinaiyahan.

Lakip na gitan-aw ang pagpatuman sa mga lakang nga gimando diha sa ordinansa numero 962 mahitungod sa ecological solid waste management (ESWM).

Gisusi usab ang kamahinungdanon nga palisiya sama sa paggahin og pundo sa programa ug kalihokan sa clean and green.

Nagpasalamat ang mga opisyales sa barangay nga sila nagiyahan sa mga gingbuhaton labi na nga matutokan ang komitiba sa clean and green, ESWM, ug green brigade.

Dugang pa, nahatagan usab og importansya ang pagmugna sa communal garden basi sa ordinansa 1016 s. 2023 ug ingon man ang ordinansa 668 mahitungod sa responsable nga pagpanagiya sa kahayopan.

Gisuta usab ang aktibo nga partisipasyon sa komunidad labi sa pag-atiman sa palibot, gulayan sa barangay ug panimalay, pagpatukod sa material recovery facility ug nursery, recycling activities, landscaping, tree planting, pag-amuma sa tree park ug paglikay sa galatagaw nga kahayopan sa publikong lugar.

Gilangkuban sa duha ka kategorya ang 46 ka barangay.

Sa category A, mao ang Poblacion Barangays 1, 9, 10, 11, Aglayan, Apo Macote, Bangcud, Cabangahan, Can-ayan, Casisang, Dalwangan, Kalasungay, Laguitas, Linabo, Magsaysay, Managok, Miglamin, Patpat, Silae, San Jose, San Martin, Simaya, ug Sumpong.

Sa category B, mao ang barangays 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Busdi, Caburacanan, Capitan Anghel, Imbayao, Indalasa, Kibalabag, Kulaman, Maligaya, Manalog, Mapayag, Mapulo, Sinanglanan, Sto. Niño, Violeta, St. Peter, ug Zamboagita. (Diego M. Hidalgo)

DOST deploys drones to reforest Bukidnon’s Mt. Kalatungan

PANGANTUCAN, Bukidnon – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-10, in collaboration with Galansiyang Inc., launched a reforestation project in a 4-hectare area at Mt. Kalatungan Range, Pangantucan, Bukidnon, May 31

The project showcases the use of drones for planting tree embryos, also known as “seed balls,” coated with soil and organic manure. These seed balls are loaded into the drone container and dispersed in the target area at Mt. Kalatungan.

Ritchie Mae L. Guno, DOST-Bukidnon provincial director, explained that the project aims to demonstrate the use of drone technology for reforestation and provide a glimpse into the future of tree planting.

“This ‘Project Tanom and Project Lantaw’ marks the beginning of DOST’s efforts in advanced reforestation technology. We plan to expand these initiatives throughout Bukidnon Province,” Guno said during the seed ball dispersal.

Guno emphasized that the initiative’s goal is to create an autonomous social system that balances the needs of people and trees.

“We will use satellite imagery to track the progress of the seed balls and monitor their growth in the forest with the help of drones,” she added.

Jay Arneil Gajudo, the chief executive officer of Galansiyang Incorporated, highlighted the event’s significance, saying that it revolutionizes tree planting in the Philippines.

He explained that the effort eliminates the struggles of planting trees in rocky locations.

The program’s first beneficiary is the local government unit of Pangantucan, Bukidnon.

The initiative is envisioned to have a large and upbeat environmental impact as it supports forestry and agricultural aspirations by utilizing modern technologies such as drones that plant trees in the scenic Mt. Kalatungan, the Philippines’ fifth-highest mountain range. (DOST/PIA-10/Bukidnon)

BukSU, City Government of Malaybalay Join Forces for the Massive Tree Growing Activity

Another 1000 graduating students, with the faculty members of Bukidnon State University – College of Business and College of Technology, successfully participated in the tree-growing activity to rehabilitate the Mamala Creek, Malaybalay City, on May 24, 2023

The other graduating students and NSTP freshmen also performed similar activities last May 6, 10, and 17, 2023, with now a corresponding total of 3000 students as participants in this massive tree planting activity.

This activity is one of the main highlights of the three (3)- year Memorandum of Agreement between Bukidnon State University and the City Government of Malaybalay to work as partners in the conservation and rehabilitation of our environment.

City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran was present in this series of tree-planting activities, and he expressed his sincere appreciation to the faculty members and students for this worthwhile endeavor in the voluntary planting of trees for the future.

He emphasized that part of the unique history of Malaybalay is the care for mother nature as massive pinetree planting were already initiated in the late 1960-70s and performed by students resulting in the vast presence of pine trees in Malaybalay City nowadays, specifically located above the City Marketsite known as the Bukidnon Provincial Park, making our city the summer capital of Mindanao otherwise known as the City of Pines in the South.

These activities were made possible due to the close coordination between the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, headed by Maria Anita L. Fernandez and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by Alan J. Comiso. (CGM)

Ang lokal nga pangagamhanan sa Malaybalay pinaagi sa City Clean and Green Committee nibisita sa mga kabarangayan alang sa pagpahigayon sa tinuig nga search for the cleanest and greenest barangay

Gitaho sa lokal nga panggamhanan nga ang City evaluating team gibahin sa duha ka grupo aron malantaw ang mga nahimo nga mga kalihokan, programa, proyekto sa clean and green diha sa 46 ka barangay sugod niadtong Pebrero 1–21, 2023.

Nasayran nga ang kinatibuk-ang kalimpyo sa palibot gi-validate sa matag lugar kung kini gipatuman ba sa barangay.

Lakip sa gisuta mao ang greening programs sama sa pag alima sa tree park, gulayan sa barangay, pagpanindot sa pampublikong lugar, pagpatukod og kaugalingon nga nursery ug tree planting activities.

Gitan-aw usab ang pagpatuman sa mga plano ug kalihokan sa solid waste manangement sama sa saktong waste segregation, pagmugna og material recovery facility, recycling, ug ingon man ang pagsagop sa City Ordinance 962. (Omar Rashid Z. Abdullah)

Tree growing activity gipahigayon sa Valencia

Malampusong napahigayon sa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office ug City Environment and Natural Resources Office ang tree planting activity sa dakbayan sa Valencia

Base sa pahibalo sa lokal nga panggamhanan, ang tree planting gipahigayon sa Malingon Creek kaniadtong Pebrero 2, 2023 ug sa Twin Hills sa Barangay San Carlos kaniadtong Pebrero 3, 2023.

Ang tree planting sa Malingon Creek gipahigayon atol sa pagsaulog sa World Wetlands Day.

Samtang ang tree planting sa Twin Hills gipahigayon subay sa ika-upat nga tuig sa programang “1 million tree growing project” nga nagatumong sa pagkonserba sa kinaiyahan ug sa pakigbatok sa climate change. (Omar Rashid Z. Abdullah)
