Military troops, Coast Guard personnel with expertise in water search operations, K9 units, and responders from Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon province, and the local disaster office have been deployed to different areas, reaching as far as the Pulangui Dam reservoir in Panadtalan, Maramag.

It was there that the body of four-year-old Deejay Ark Taña-Viña, the fifth confirmed fatality, was recovered.

Still missing are Johnny Borbon, 63; Dina Consolacion, 48; and two-year-old Andrea Vistal.

Valencia City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office spokesman Jovenone Abriol Ellacone said that the clearing of debris in hard-hit areas, specifically Puroks 20 and 13 of Barangay Poblacion, is ongoing.
