Floods caused ₱65 million in damage in Bukidnon as 3 remain missing

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon (September 24, 2025) – A week after the devastating September 17 flash floods here, families of the three missing victims remain hopeful as combined search and retrieval operations continue

Military troops, Coast Guard personnel with expertise in water search operations, K9 units, and responders from Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon province, and the local disaster office have been deployed to different areas, reaching as far as the Pulangui Dam reservoir in Panadtalan, Maramag.

 

It was there that the body of four-year-old Deejay Ark Taña-Viña, the fifth confirmed fatality, was recovered.

 

Still missing are Johnny Borbon, 63; Dina Consolacion, 48; and two-year-old Andrea Vistal.

 

Valencia City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office spokesman Jovenone Abriol Ellacone said that the clearing of debris in hard-hit areas, specifically Puroks 20 and 13 of Barangay Poblacion, is ongoing.

 

He reported that damage has reached ₱65 million, covering crops, livestock, homes, and infrastructure in eight barangays.

 

The number of affected families has risen to 2,725, or 4,234 individuals.
