MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon – The 3rd CMO (Dangpanan) Company of the 4th CMO (Kasaligan) Battalion, Civil-Military Operations Regiment, Philippine Army, under the operational control of the 403rd Infantry Brigade, facilitated the Nationwide Simultaneous Health and Wellness Fair, revitalizing the Army CARES Program with the theme “Bayanihan para sa Kalusugan.”

The activity was conducted at the 4th Division Training School, Brgy. 10, Malaybalay City, on December 6, 2025.

In a press release, the 4th CMO “Kasaligan” Battalion reported that around 566 beneficiaries availed themselves of various free services, including medical consultations, dental check-ups and extractions, eye examinations, and the distribution of medicines and vitamins.

Other services offered were free massages and haircuts, TESDA scholarship applications, and the distribution of hot meals and hygiene kits provided by the Red Cross and other partner agencies.

The event was made possible through the support of military doctors and health providers from the City Health Offices of Malaybalay and Valencia, the Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center, the Bukidnon Medical Society, the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists – Bukidnon Chapter, the Philippine National Police, TESDA, and the Red Cross – Bukidnon Chapter. These organizations worked together to address diverse health needs of CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs), Army reservists, rebel returnees, military personnel, and their dependents.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Royland M. Orquia, PA (Ret.), commander of the 2001st Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade, delivered an inspirational message emphasizing the importance of the services provided and how these contribute to the mission readiness of soldiers.

Malaybalay City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran, the guest of honor and speaker, also commended the Health and Wellness Fair facilitated by the 3rd CMO Company under the 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division. He expressed gratitude to all participating agencies and volunteers who dedicated their time to deliver essential assistance to beneficiaries.

The event highlights the value of collaboration between the Philippine Army, local government units, and community partners in promoting sustainable development and enhancing the well-being of rural communities. By providing essential services and strengthening stakeholder engagement, the Army continues to help build stronger and more resilient communities.

The Army CARES Program remains committed to empowering individuals, expanding access to healthcare, and fostering peace and prosperity in Bukidnon.(melbmadera)
