Rice farmers sa Malaybalay gihatagan og ayuda

Ang Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 10 mitunol sa ikaupat nga higayon og tag P 5,000.00 nga cash assistance ngadto sa matag mag-uuma sa humay sa Malaybalay

Sumala sa kasayoran sa dakbayan, ang mga benepisaryo narehistro sa Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) nga adunay luna nga dili molapas sa duha ka ektarya sa humayan.

 

Kini pinaagi sa Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund – Rice Farmers Financial Assistance sa DA.

 

Gipahigayon ang pagpasiugda pinaagi sa koordinasyon sa buhatan sa City Agriculture kabahin sa pagpang apod-apod sa tabang pinansyal ngadto sa mga benepisaryo didto sa barangay Violeta Covered Court ning dakbayan niadtong Pebrero 27, 2024.

 

Mahinumdoman nga adunay iskedyul sa distribusyon usab ang nahitabo niadtong Disyembre 1-2, 2022 ubos sa RFFA 3 ug Marso 4, 2023 ubos sa RFFA 2.

 

Kasamtangan, adunay 1,918 ka mga mag-uuma ang nalista ug na-validate alang sa RFFA basi sa DA Farmers and Fisherfolks Registry System.

PGB, Bugemco seal 30-year lease contract for new commercial building

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (February 29, 2024) – The Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB) and the Bukidnon Government Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (BUGEMCO) has engaged in a 30-year lease arrangement for the use of a new 3-storey Commercial Building II

The signing ceremony was held on February 27, 2024, during the inauguration of PGB’s new commercial facility on Fortich St. in Brgy. 7. Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Provincial Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque signed the MOA on behalf of PGB, while Ms.  Venus Lubguban, Bugemco’s chief executive officer, signed on behalf of the cooperative.

The terms and conditions of the contract are specified in Resolution No. 2024-2890 of the 27th  Sangguniang Panlawigan (SP).

The PGB in a press statement said the monthly lease payments of ₱800,000 net of tax are due on the 10th of each month.

The new Bukidnon Commercial Building II of the PGB will house the BUGEMCO-Malaybalay Branch Office, BUGEMCO Mart, a training facility for cooperative affairs, and future plans to deliver quality services to its members and the community.

Governor Roque thanked former Governor and current 3rd District Representative Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. in all his efforts for initiating the project during his term as governor.

During Zubiri’s stint as Governor, the PGB has allocated ₱100,999,905.00 from the 20 percent Development Fund.

Jejor’s Construction Corporation completed its work on July 21, 2022, and the Certificate of Occupancy was entirely gained on December 18, 2023, after overcoming PGB obstacles. (melbmadera)

Si Police Major Cipriano V. Bazar, OIC sa Don Carlos Municipal Police Station, miila sa babayeng biktima nga isa ka 47-anyos nga babaye.

 

Ang biktima naigo sa iyang wala nga bitiis, wala nga abaga ug wala nga likod.

 

Siya daling gidala sa Kibawe Provincial Hospital aron matambalan.

 

Sa inisyal nga imbestigasyon, nasayran nga ang biktima nagpahulay/natulog sulod sa iyang barong-barong dihang gipusil sa wa mailhing tawo gamit ang improvised shotgun.

 

Ang suspek nisibat human sa krimen padulong sa wala masayring direksyon.

 

Sumala pa sa biktima nga dihang naigo siya, nisinggit siya og tabang, nikamang paingon sa barangay mga 50-metros ang kalayoon diin isa ka concerned citizen ang nakakita ug mi-rescue kaniya ug nanawagan og police assistance sa PNP Patrol Base sa Brgy. Embayao.

 

Gibutyag pa sa biktima nga ang ilang yuta giangkon sa isa ka lider sa mga lumad nga grupo.

WCCC, BVRC buildings gisugdan na sa pagtukod

Gisugdan sa pagtukod sa Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB) ang Women and Children Crisis Center (WCCC) ug Bukidnon Vocational Resource Center (BVRC)

Gpatuman ang proyekto sa pinaagi sa Provincial Engineering Office (PEO).

Sumala sa kasayoran, ang duha ka mga gambalay ipabarug diha sa Grandstand, Sumpong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Ang Women and Children Crisis Center gitagan-an sa probinsya og pondo nga sobra ₱12.8-M.

Samtang sobra ₱7.3-M usab ang sa Bukidnon Vocational Resource Center.

Kini base sa naaprubahan nga contract of agreement tali DevDrex Construction Services ug Mamawag Construction.

Mahinumduman nga una nang gipondohan sa PGB ang 392.48 meters nga katas-on sa perimeter fence sa maong dapit, nga naka-kontrata sa Shabe Enterprises, sa contract cost ₱4,090,904.33. (Diego M. Hidalgo)

DA-PhilMech, Bukidnon LGU break ground for P101.5-M grains center

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon (February 26, 2024) – Farmers in Bukidnon province and those in neighboring areas can soon benefit from the new P101.5 million Grains Center, as construction began on February 19 in Sinabuagan, Valencia City

Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque of Bukidnon province, DA-PhilMech Facility Management and Field Operations Division Chief Mayville Castro, and Valencia City Mayor Azucenas P. Huervas led the signing of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the project.

The Provincial Government of Bukidnon, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Center for Post-harvest Development and Mechanization (DA-PhilMech), availed of the Rice Processing System (RPS) II facility under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) mechanization program to establish a grains center.

Out of the P101.5 million, DA-Philmech allocates P61.5 million for a rice processing system, while the Bukidnon local government unit (LGU) contributes P40 million for building construction.

The RPS package includes state-of-the-art components for the province, such as a one-unit 4-5 tons per hour rice mill with mist polisher, length grader, and color sorter.

The RPS package also includes four units of 6 tons per batch of mechanical recirculating dryers.

Once the construction of the Grains Center in Sinabuagan, Valencia City, is completed, the Bukidnon LGU will manage and operate it.

Said project aims to minimize post-harvest losses of rice in the province and increase the income of rice farmers by buying their Palay at a reasonable price.

Sumala sa report ni Police Captain Christopher P. Tuzara, OIC sa Kitaotao Municipal Police Station (KMPS), ang mga wala mailang lalaking suspek nakasol-ob og red hooded ug dirty white hooded jackets.

Ang gitulis nga RTMI passenger bus adunay body no. 2795 ug plate no. NDD 4025.

Gimanehoan kini sa 53 anyos nga lalaki, holder sa PDL samtang ang konduktor isa ka 36 anyos nga nga lalaki.

Sumala pa, ang isa sa mga suspek mition sa wala masayring kalibre sa pistola sa konduktor ug gilimas ang mikabat sa P10,000 nga fare collection.

Sa imbestigasyon, nasayran nga gikan sa Davao City ang bus paingon sa Cagayan de Oro City.

Sa pag-abot sa lugar sa insidente, ang duha ka wala mailhing suspek ang mipara ug misakay sa bus.

Isa ka ground breaking ceremony ang gipahigayon sa LGU Valencia City alang sa pagtukod og Multi-Purpose Building Phase 1 sa bag-ong City Agriculture Office nga adunay Training Center niadtong Enero 25, 2024

Sumala sa kasayoran sa LGU Valencia, ang proyekto nahimutang sa Purok 1, Brgy. Pinatilan.

Ang groundbreaking ceremony isa ka pagmatuod nga pagasugdan na ang maong proyekto.

Dakong kalamposan alang kang Mayor Azucena P. Huervas ingon man ni City Agriculturist Connie Dalangan nga masugdan ang pagpatukod sa maong bag-ong opisina aron mas mapalig-on ang paghatod og serbisyo alang sa mga mag-uuma.

Pasiuna usab ang pagtukod sa maong pasilidad nga nagkantidad og muabot sa P15 milyon ubos gikan sa 20 percent Local Development Fund.

Mahimutang ang proyekto sa 14 ektaryas nga luna nga puhon pagatukuran usab og Post Harvest Facilities sama sa rice mill ug sa Techno-Demo Farm, uban sa tingoha nga mahimo ang maong dapit nga agritourism destination sa dakbayan.

Gipaabot usab ni Vice Mayor Atty. Teodoro Roteo Pepito ang pagsuporta sa 9th Sangguniang Panlungsod, diin matod niya, dako usab og ikatabang ang bag-ong opisina, sanglit aduna na kiniy Training Center nga makahatag og dugang kahibalo ug kalamboan sa mga mag-uuma.

Dako usab ang pagsalig ni Mayor Huervas sa contractor sa proyekto nga mao ang Arbul Builders and Construction Supply, sa pagpanguna ni Engr. Allen Bula, nga tumanon niini ang pagtukod sa dekalidad nga pasilidad subay sa plano nga pagkumpleto niini sulod sa walo ka bulan.

Nahimong mabungahon ang pagpahigayon sa seremonya pinaagi usab sa pagsuporta ug presensya nila City Councilor Rogelio Hera, Jr., nga mao usab ang Committee Chair on Agriculture, Councilor Cecile Mabao-Caballero, Councilor Sasang Cadigal-Recla, IPMR Bae Irene Pandian, SK Federation President John Legeil Estoquia, mga Department Heads, IP Leaders, City Events Committee, ug mga personahe sa City Agriculture Office. Human sa masusing pagtuon, atol sa ika 76th regular session niadtong Enero 23, 2024, giduso ni Konsehal Cromwell Kiril D. Dinlayan resolusyon nga hiniusang giuyonan sa konseho.

Nasayran nga kaniadtong Enero 2, 2024, ang buhatan sa mayor nag-endorso ngadto sa SP uban sa paghangyo nga pagatugotan si Pabillaran sa pagsulod sa isa ka kasabotan nga dako og ikatabang sa katawhan labi na kadtong mga kabus nga nanginahanglan sa nasangpit nga serbisyo.

Army confirms 9 terrorists involved in Marawi blast killed in Lanao del Sur

The Philippine Army on Saturday, January 27, confirmed the death of nine members of the Dawlah Islamiyah terrorist organization involved in the bombing of Dimaporo gymnasium inside the Mindanao State University in Marawi City

Army Public Affairs chief, Col. Louie Dema-ala, said the operating troops from the 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion, under the 103rd Infantry (Haribon) Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division, engaged in a series of firefight with heavily armed Dawlah Islamiya members from Thursday to Friday this week, in Barangay Tapurong, Piagapo, Lanao del Sur.

“The Army troops were able to neutralize nine local terrorist members and recovered eight high-powered firearms. Neutralized individuals were identified as perpetrators of the fatal MSU bombing on December 3, 2023,” Dema-ala told reporters.

Four soldiers were hurt during the encounters, which were triggered by the military’s internal security operations.

Dema-ala said the soldiers were immediately transported to the Amai Pakpak Medical Center in Marawi City “to acquire urgent medical attention.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the four soldiers who sustained injuries during the said operation. We remain committed to ensuring their swift recovery,” Dema-ala said. (Lade Jean Kabagani/tribune.net.ph)

Mindanao LGUs bring home students after blast; Marawi extends help

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (Dec. 4, 2023, 8:49 am) – Some local government units (LGUs) in Mindanao on Sunday extended their support to their residents studying at Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur

After the MSU Marawi campus suspended classes following an explosion that killed four and injured 50 people, several students sought assistance for transportation back to their hometowns.
Meanwhile, in a statement, the MSU Emergency Task Force said they were coordinating with police and military authorities, as well as meeting with Marawi CDRMMO and the provincial government, as it emphasized there were no recommendations for campus lockdown and evacuation of students.
“We urge the university constituents to remain calm but cautious. We urge the students to remain in their dormitories, boarding houses, and homes inside the campus until further notice,” the Task Force said.
Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao ordered the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) to provide vehicles to assist students out of the campus.
“All students can take the ride even non-residents of Iligan,” he said.
The first batch of 60 students arrived in Iligan City past 3 p.m. and were given initial relief by the City Social Welfare and Development.
Siao also issued an executive order setting up checkpoints on key highways in Iligan.
Mayor Rolando Uy of this city, meanwhile, tasked its CDRRMO to dispatch a team to get students bound for the city and nearby towns.
Mayor Lemuel Meyrick Acosta of Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental said there were 42 students expected to be brought home.
Misamis Occidental Governor Henry Oaminal Sr. also mobilized transportation to evacuate students with two buses on standby.
The municipalities of Wao, Lanao del Sur, and Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental are also coordinating with students wishing to be brought home.
The province of Zamboanga del Sur responded to a post on social media from a student who was requesting to be transported back home.
In the aftermath of the blast, the campus community and Marawi City residents also provided relief.
Maruhom-Jalaluddin Ronsing, Education Program Specialist at MSU Shariah Center, shared photographs of faculty, staff, and students volunteering to prepare food for those who remained on the campus and inside their dormitories.
Business owners also offered free food to MSU students afraid to come out, while other residents offered their homes as temporary refuge.
Marawi City Mayor Majul Gandamra said the incident should not be allowed to undermine the good relationship that exists between Muslim and Christian communities in the city.
“Our city has long been a beacon of peaceful coexistence and harmony, and we will not allow such acts of violence to overshadow our collective commitment to peace and unity,” he said.
Gandamra also urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from spreading unverified information about the incident.
He said the public must rely on official reports from the authorities to obtain accurate information.
Lanao del Sur 1st District Rep. Ziaur-Rahman Alonto-Adiong said its office would extend medical assistance to the injured victims.
“We will work closely with the PNP (Philippine National Police) and the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) to sort this out and arrest the perpetrators behind this barbaric attack,” he said. (Nef Luczon and Leah Agonoy/PNA)
