Pipila ka kalohokan sa Kaamulan 2024 gipangandaman sa NCIP Bukidnon

Gipangandaman sa National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)-Bukidnon Provincial Office ang pipila ka mga kalihukan nga gisalig kanila sa Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB) alang sa nagsingabot nga Kaamulan 2024

Sumala sa press release sa PAIA, isa ka Meeting uban sa Indigenous People’s Mandatory Representatives (IMPRs) ang gipangunahan sa NCIP Bukidnon niadtong Enero 26, 2024 nga gipahigayon sa Provincial Office niini sa Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Sa pagpakisayud ni Melinda Tulba, OIC sa Bukidnon Provincial Office, siya miingon nga “Yearly nga activity sa Bukidnon ang Kaamulan. Ang among participation sa NCIP isip lead agency nga magtabang sa atong mga kaigsoonang lumad, ang pagtan-aw sa kaayohan ug pagplastar sa mga kaigsoonan nga magpartisipar.”

Sa maong tigum sa IPMRs, gi-usa-usa pag-presenta ang mga kalihukan sa Kaamulan 2024, ug gipalawoman ang pagtuki sa Culture and Arts Exhibits, ingon man ang mga gabayan sa bag-o nga Laga ta Kaamulan, ug uban pa.

Sa Culture and Arts Exhibits, gisiguro sa pagkuha ang commitment sa matag IPMR sa 22 ka mga LGUs sa Bukidnon kabahin sa adlaw nga sila mag-presenta.

Gikahinaman usab sa mga tribal leaders ang maong pagpasundayag, sanglit ning higayona, aduna na’y nakataganang pondo isip pa-premyo kanila.

Mamahimong criteria sa gipangandaman nga Municipality/City ICCs/IPs Cultural Presentation ang mosunod: Exhibits nga 40 porsyento nga naglangkub sa kamahinungdanon sa butang sa kultura, pagkatinuod sa produkto o ginama sa IP, ug pagkanindot sa presentasyon.

Saysenta-porsyento usab sa Presentation sa ilang mga kulturanhong sayaw, kanta, mga traditional nga mga estorya, panultihon, ug mga kasaysayan nga nahimong tamdanan sa matag tribu.

Mitambong sa maong tigum si Regional Director Ordonio P. Rocero, Jr. sa NCIP Region X, kung diin mipadayag sa iyang pagdayeg sa kalig-on sa tribu sa Bukidnon.

Anaa usab si Provincial IPMR Atty. Arbie S. Llesis, kinsa mipadangat sa iyang pakigtimbayayong sa NCIP-Bukidnon ug gidasig ang kahiusahan sa pito ka tribu.

Kamulo pa usab gi-finalize ang mamahimong gabayan sa Laga ta Kaamulan ug gilauman nga magpatawag og laing panagtagbo alang sa pagplastar sa Free and Prior Informed Consent (FPIC) alang sa Kaamulan Street and Ground dancing contingents. (melbmadera)

National plastic ID cards nadawat sa senior citizens sa Malaybalay

Mikabat na sa 8,377 ka national plastic ID sa senior citizens ang pasiunang nabuhat ug nahatag alang sa dakbayan sa Malaybalay

Sumala sa kasayoran, ang bag-ong plastic ID cards nahatag na sa mga senior citizen sa 29 ka mga barangay sa dakbayan.

Magpadayon pa ang pagpanghatag sa mga ID card sa umaabot pa nga skedyul alang sa 17 ka nabilin nga mga barangay sa Malaybalay.

Ang Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) inabagan sa City Administrator’s Office, nagtakda sa mga schedule sa kabarangayan alang sa renewal ug pag-isyu sa bag-ong plastic ID cards.

Nakadawat na sa ID cards ang mga senior citizen sa 11 Poblacion barangays.

Ang sa Brgy. 1 (517), Brgy. 2 (118), Brgy. 3 (68), Brgy. 4 (102), Brgy. 5 (51), Brgy. 6 (80), Brgy. 7 (159), Brgy. 8 (96), Brgy. 9 (473), Brgy. 10 (222), ug Brgy. 11 (201).

Sa south ug north barangays; ang San Jose (391), Laguitas (264), Patpat (237), Sumpong (588), Casisang (1,498), Capitan Anghel (54), Can-ayan (316), Kibalabag (71), Manalog (44), Kalasungay (478), ug Bangcud (370).

Lakip sa nahatagan sa serbisyo ang barangay Mapayag (80), Magsaysay (156), Dalwangan (407), Imbayao (78), Aglayan (441), Cabangahan (220), ug Linabo (586).

Si OSCA Head Rene Y. Cipriano, mipasabot nga kining mga ID card balido sa tibuok kinabuhi.

Ang senior citizen ID card holder adunay 20 porsyento diskwento sa mga nag-unang kinahanglanon susama sa pletehan sa transportasyon, mga tambal nga ilang palitunon ug singko porsyento para sa groceries.

Nipaabot usab ang mga senior citizen sa ilang pagpasalamat kay City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran sa paghatag kanila sa maong oportunidad. (melbmadera)

4 NorMin cops who tested positive for drug use face dismissal

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The chief of the Police Regional Office in Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) on January 18, vowed to dismiss police officers who tested positive for illegal drug use.

Brig. Gen. Lawrence Coop PRO-10 director, said four police officers are set to be dismissed for illegal drug use, the latest of whom is assigned to Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.

“We recorded this in 2022, and they will also face administrative charges,” he said during a media forum here, referring to the erring police officers.

Coop said most of the administrative cases in the region are related to the use of illegal drugs following the series of random and unannounced drug testing.

Drug testing will continue for this year, he said, noting that it has always been part of the internal operations of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

“The community wants to see a truly transformed PNP; a police service that is highly capable, effective, and credible; and a police force that can always be counted on at all times,” Coop said.

Coop also urged all key officers to exert more effort in the fight against all forms of criminality, especially illegal drugs and terrorism. (Nef Luczon/PNA)

5 NorMin, Lanao Sur execs among ‘top performers’ in 2022

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Five public officials in the Northern Mindanao region and Lanao del Sur province were named among the “Top Performers” in local governance during the second half of 2022 after the national and local elections.

A statement from the data analytics firm RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) on Jan. 15, said they are Misamis Occidental 2nd District Rep. Sancho Fernando Oaminal, Lanao del Sur 1st District Rep. Ziaur-Rahman Alonto-Adiong, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental Mayor Henry Oaminal Jr., Misamis Oriental Gov. Peter Unabia and Misamis Occidental Gov. Henry Oaminal Sr.

Rep. Oaminal placed fifth among top performers in the House of Representatives with a 90 percent rating, while Adiong placed 10th with a 78 percent rating.

“Para na sa inyoha, mga pinalangga namong Misamisnons! Padayon ang atong pagpaningkamot para sa #AsensoOzamiz (This is for you, our beloved Misamisnons! We continue to strive hard for the #AsensoOzamiz development agenda),” he said in his Facebook post, reacting to the results.

Oaminal Jr. placed in the 9th spot for top-performing city mayors with 80 percent, and both Unabia and Oaminal Sr. placed sixth in the governor’s category with an 85 percent rating.

Dr. Paul Martinez, the focal person of RPMD, said these public officials who excelled in “constituent service” and service to the nation should be congratulated for their exceptional performance.

The independent and non-commissioned “Boses ng Bayan” national performance evaluation survey for the year 2022 was done from Nov. 27 to Dec. 2, 2022.

Among the 65.75 million registered voters between 18 and 70, a total of 10,000 respondents were selected. The sample employed a plus-or-minus 1 percent margin of error and a degree of confidence of 95 percent.

Army Reservist from Bukidnon wins Miss Star Continental International 2023 in Vietnam

Ms. Meriam Campong, an Army Reservist from the small town of Kibawe in Bukidnon, Philippines, was crowned Miss Star Continental International 2023 on January 7th, 2023.

The pageant, held in Vietnam, saw 35 contestants from 20 countries vying for the crown.

Contestants competed in a series of challenges; including talent and formal wear competitions, as well as interviews with the judges.

Ms. Campong, who has been a reservist of the 1003rd Community Defense Center, 10th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, was elated to be crowned, saying, “This experience has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I was surrounded by amazing contestants from all over the world, and to be chosen as the winner is truly an honor.”

Ms. Campong’s victory was especially meaningful as it marks the first time that a Philippine Army Reservist has ever won the title. Her win is being celebrated across the Philippines and beyond, as it is a testament to the strength and determination of those serving in the military.

Ms. Campong’s win is also a sign of hope for the future of the pageant world, as she hopes to use her newfound platform to inspire other young women to pursue their dreams, no matter their background or circumstance. (10th RCDG)

Capitol opens National, Provincial offices

MALAYBALAY CITY (Jan. 28) – The Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB) has formally opened the rehabilitated Old Hospital Building that will house National and Provincial Offices on January 27.

Gov. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri Jr. led PGB officials in the Blessing ceremony held after the flag-raising ceremony of the Capitol.

Engr. Albert Yulo, the provincial engineer said earlier that 16 provincial offices will occupy the rehabilitated Old Hospital.

He added that 12 national offices will also occupy the building.
Among of the national offices are the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Public Attorney’s Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Social Security System, Philippine Information Agency, Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority, PNP Cyber Crime Division, Department of Health, Pag-Ibig Fund, Philhealth Corporation, Department of Social Welfare and Development Region X and Clerk of Court.

The City Prosecutor’s Office and Bukidnon Tagoloanon Mulahay ha Kabukalagan Agriculture Cooperative o BUKTAMACO will also be housing the Old Hospital Building.

Gov. Zubiri clarified earlier that occupants can utilize the building for free.
But Echavez pointed that occupants will shoulder the expenses for the furniture and fixtures, air-conditioning units and utilities such as water and power bills.
The Governor said that the building has a parking area at the back that can accommodate 142 4-wheel vehicles and 117 motorcycles for the clients and employees.

Based on data, the ground floor has 13 offices, 15 on the second floor and two on the 3rd floor.

The PGB has allocated P46.79 million in rehabilitating the Old Hospital Building. (Mel B. Madera).
