MARAMAG, Bukidnon — The new Maramag Super Health Center was formally inaugurated
and turned over on Friday, Sept. 11, in Purok 1B, Barangay Colambugon, providing residents
with expanded access to primary and specialized healthcare services.

Senator Lawrence “Bong” T. Go led the inauguration ceremony, which was attended by
Maramag Mayor Jose Joel P. Doromal, local officials, health officials from the regional,
provincial, municipal and barangay levels, barangay health workers and residents.
Doromal pledged to maintain and further develop the facility to ensure that it meets the
healthcare needs of residents, particularly those from Barangay Catumbalon and nearby
communities.

The project received P10 million in funding under the Department of Health’s (DOH) Health
Facility Enhancement Program. The DOH will also provide an additional P2 million worth of
medical equipment for the facility.
A health official said the center is designed to provide basic healthcare services, including
outpatient care, birthing facilities, isolation rooms and diagnostic services such as laboratory
tests, X-rays and ultrasound.
The facility will also house a pharmacy, an ambulatory surgical unit and specialized services for
eye, ear, nose and throat (EENT) conditions. It will also provide oncology, physical therapy and
rehabilitation services, with telemedicine technology available for remote diagnosis and
treatment.
The Maramag local government unit will oversee the operation and management of the health
center.
The government has also established Super Health Centers in Malaybalay City and the towns of
Kadingilan, Pangantucan, Sumilao, Kitaotao, Manolo Fortich, Quezon, Talakag, San Fernando
and Kalilangan.
During the groundbreaking ceremony on March 13, 2024, Go underscored the role of Super
Health Centers in bringing quality healthcare services closer to underserved communities.
