MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — The Kaamulan Open Theatre sparkled with lights, music, and celebration on the night of August 31, 2025, as Miss Malaybalay 2025, Gwen Marie Perion, emerged victorious and was officially crowned Miss World Philippines–Bukidnon 2025

Carrying the pride of Malaybalay City, Perion captivated the judges and audience alike with her blend of grace, intelligence, and quiet confidence. She outshone nine other equally dazzling candidates representing different municipalities and cities across Bukidnon.

Her stellar performance was further affirmed when she swept several special awards, including Best in Casual Attire, Best in Swimsuit, and Miss Photogenic. Each recognition reinforced her reputation as a well-rounded contender prepared to embody both beauty and substance.

Now the new queen of Bukidnon, Gwen Marie Perion is set to carry the province’s banner on the national stage at Miss World Philippines 2026, succeeding her fellow Malaybalay native, Atty. Dolly Ceballos Cruz. The symbolic passing of the crown marks not just a personal achievement but also a continuation of Malaybalay’s strong presence in pageantry.

Perion and her team extended heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran and Atty. Anna Marie R. Bergado, city administrator, for their unwavering support. Their encouragement, she said, has been instrumental in empowering the young women of Malaybalay to dream bigger, strive for excellence, and carry the city’s name with pride on larger stages.

With her eloquence, determination, and heart for service, Gwen Marie Perion now steps into a bigger role—not only as a beauty queen but also as an ambassador of Bukidnon’s values and aspirations. As she prepares for the national stage, the province rallies behind her, hopeful that she will bring pride, honor, and inspiration to Bukidnon and beyond. (pr)
