Ang taas nga opisyal sa militar sa Bukidnon nag-awhag sa mga myembro sa New People’s Army (NPA) nga molihok dayon

Sumala sa report sa PIA Bukidnon, si Brig. Gen. Michele B. Anayron Jr., komandante sa 403rd Infantry Brigade, niingon nga ang amnestiya dili magpadayon hangtod sa kahangturan. Gipahibalo kini ni Anayron sa panahon sa pakigsulti sa Bukidnon Interaction niadtong Enero 12, 2025, nga nadungog sa 15 KBP-accredited radio stations sa Bukidnon

Gipadayag sa gobyerno ang 2025 peace and development road map, nga naglakip sa usa ka programa sa reintegration sa mga kanhi myembro sa NPA pinaagi sa pagtanyag sa pinansyal nga tabang ug pagbansay sa panginabuhi.

Interfaith prayer rally alang sa Demokrasya ug Kontra Korapsyon gipahigayon

Kaniadtong hapon sa Enero 26, 2025, gipahigayon ang province-wide Interfaith Prayer Rally nga gi-organisar sa Barug Maisug Bukidnon – Kontra Korapsyon, Duterte for Democracy (BMBKKDD)

Ang kalihokan nagsugod sa usa ka motorcade gikan sa PCC Covered Court ngadto sa Maramag Integrated Bus Terminal, diin ang mga partisipante naghiusa sa usa ka kusganong pagpahayag batok sa korapsyon.

Ang mga lider sa Iglesia ni Cristo, Roman Catholic Church, Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Islam, Fundamental Baptist Church, ug United Pentecostal Church nanguna sa pag-ampo alang sa hustisya ug kalinaw.

Si Romy P. Tiongco, kanhi Parish Priest ug kanhi Mayor sa Damulog, ang nagpasundayag sa highlight sa kalihokan, nga nagpaila kang kanhi Executive Secretary Atty. Vic Rodriguez isip dinapit nga mamumulong.

Northern Mindanao Inflation Drops to 2.6% in December 2024

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-10 reported that the headline inflation rate in Northern Mindanao for December 2024 was 2.6 percent, down from 4.8 percent in December 2023 and 2.7 percent in November 2024

PSA-10 Regional Director Janith Aves attributed the slowdown mainly to lower inflation in food and non-alcoholic beverages, which dropped to 1.8 percent in December from 2.9 percent in November.

Key food categories, including cereals, meat, and dairy, showed slower price increases in December. Cereal inflation fell from 6.0 percent in November to 2.2 percent, while meat inflation dropped from 2.1 percent to 1.3 percent.

Alcoholic beverages and tobacco also contributed to the decline, with inflation dropping to 7.7 percent in December from 8.2 percent in November. Meanwhile, cigarettes and spirits experienced slower price increases.

Health-related services also recorded a minor inflation reduction, from 5.7 percent in November to 5.6 percent in December, due to slower price hikes in inpatient services, medicines, and diagnostic products.

“The key contributors to the overall inflation in Health were inpatient curative and rehabilitative services, with an inflation rate of 12.5 percent in December 2024, slower than the 12.9 percent in November 2024. Medicines, vaccines, and other pharmaceutical preparations recorded an inflation rate of 3.2 percent, a decrease from 3.3 percent in November 2024. Medical diagnostic products had an inflation rate of 5.3 percent in December 2024, compared to 6.1 percent in the previous month,” Aves explained.

The Department of Health (DOH)-10 noted possible reasons for the rising costs of medicines, vaccines, and other pharmaceutical preparations.

Jovita Sarip, Statistician II of DOH-10, pointed out that transport costs for medicines and vaccines are potential factors. She mentioned that maintaining the cold chain, essential for preserving vaccine efficacy, likely contributes to higher costs. (Apipa P. Bagumbaran/PIA-10)

2 killed, 5 injured in Bukidnon highway accident

COTABATO CITY (January 7, 2025 | 5:04pm) — Two individuals were killed and five others severely injured when a refrigerated truck loaded with frozen fish collided with a van and a motorcycle, causing all three vehicles to plunge into a roadside ravine in Quezon town, Bukidnon, on Monday, January 6

Senior officials of the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office and the Police Regional Office-10 told reporters on Tuesday, January 7, that Mohammad Exan Bola, 53, of Marawi City in Lanao del Sur, and the 26-year-old Jayser Pendorat Bautil, a resident of Barangay Kalilangan in Pantar, Lanao del Norte, were declared dead on arrival by doctors in a hospital where emergency responders transported them for treatment.

An initial report from the Quezon Municipal Police Station, released to reporters early Tuesday, revealed that the driver of the refrigerated truck lost control of the vehicle when its brake system malfunctioned while navigating a steep, downhill stretch of highway in Barangay Palacapao, Quezon. The truck collided with a motorcycle and an L300 van ahead, causing all three vehicles to plunge into a deep ravine alongside the route.

Witnesses who spoke with police investigators said that all three vehicles involved in the accident rolled over multiple times before landing in an open field about 50 meters down the ravine.

One of the two fatalities, identified as Bautil, was a helper of the driver of the refrigerated truck, which bore the license plates ZAD 6080. The truck was driven by 45-year-old Solaiman Baco Moctar, a resident of Digos City in Davao del Sur.

The road mishap left five others, including Moctar, the driver of the L300 van and the motorist that his truck rammed, badly injured.

Police investigators and barangay officials have confirmed to reporters that the right arm of one of the victims got severed from the shoulder and was found in a grassy spot several meters away. (John Unson – Philstar.com)

Ang heat stroke isa ka kondisyon nga magresulta tungod sa pagtaas sa body temperature o sobrang kainit sa lawas, nga kasagarang mabatian tungod sa dugay nga pagbulad sa adlaw.

Kung dili kini malikayan o matambalan, posibleng magresulta sa pagkadaot sa utok, kasingkasing o kaunuran og labing delikado, maghatag ug taas nga risgo, komplikasyon ug kamatayon sa tawo.

Aron malikayan kini, ilabi na niining panahon sa hulaw, limitahi ang taas nga oras nga pagpundo sa gawas; inom ug daghang tubig; pagsuot sa kalo, long sleeved nga bisti og kanunay nga magdala sa payong kung mogawas; ug kung adunay mga heavy-duty activities sama sa pag-jogging, buhaton kini sa buntag o hapon kung aha walay mabatian nga sobrang kainit sa adlaw. Pipila ka kalohokan sa Kaamulan 2024 gipangandaman sa NCIP Bukidnon

Gipangandaman sa National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)-Bukidnon Provincial Office ang pipila ka mga kalihukan nga gisalig kanila sa Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB) alang sa nagsingabot nga Kaamulan 2024

Sumala sa press release sa PAIA, isa ka Meeting uban sa Indigenous People’s Mandatory Representatives (IMPRs) ang gipangunahan sa NCIP Bukidnon niadtong Enero 26, 2024 nga gipahigayon sa Provincial Office niini sa Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Sa pagpakisayud ni Melinda Tulba, OIC sa Bukidnon Provincial Office, siya miingon nga “Yearly nga activity sa Bukidnon ang Kaamulan. Ang among participation sa NCIP isip lead agency nga magtabang sa atong mga kaigsoonang lumad, ang pagtan-aw sa kaayohan ug pagplastar sa mga kaigsoonan nga magpartisipar.”

Sa maong tigum sa IPMRs, gi-usa-usa pag-presenta ang mga kalihukan sa Kaamulan 2024, ug gipalawoman ang pagtuki sa Culture and Arts Exhibits, ingon man ang mga gabayan sa bag-o nga Laga ta Kaamulan, ug uban pa.

Sa Culture and Arts Exhibits, gisiguro sa pagkuha ang commitment sa matag IPMR sa 22 ka mga LGUs sa Bukidnon kabahin sa adlaw nga sila mag-presenta.

Gikahinaman usab sa mga tribal leaders ang maong pagpasundayag, sanglit ning higayona, aduna na’y nakataganang pondo isip pa-premyo kanila.

Mamahimong criteria sa gipangandaman nga Municipality/City ICCs/IPs Cultural Presentation ang mosunod: Exhibits nga 40 porsyento nga naglangkub sa kamahinungdanon sa butang sa kultura, pagkatinuod sa produkto o ginama sa IP, ug pagkanindot sa presentasyon.

Saysenta-porsyento usab sa Presentation sa ilang mga kulturanhong sayaw, kanta, mga traditional nga mga estorya, panultihon, ug mga kasaysayan nga nahimong tamdanan sa matag tribu.

Mitambong sa maong tigum si Regional Director Ordonio P. Rocero, Jr. sa NCIP Region X, kung diin mipadayag sa iyang pagdayeg sa kalig-on sa tribu sa Bukidnon.

CHO conducts person with disability registration, consultation

The City Health Office (CHO) recently conducted registration and consultation to persons with disability on March 01, 2023, at Maligaya Covered Court. The activity was held through disability evaluation by CHO Medical doctor to determine medical impairment and its impact on the ability to perform activities of daily living (ADL)

The City Health Office – Person with Disability program, which was led by Dr. Ann Michelle Go, with the assistance of Nurse Coordinators Shelleme O. Macatol and Gazel Dela Cruz and together with the staff from City Social Welfare and Development Office, have already visited five other Barangays starting January 2023.

This year, the team have already catered to a total of 275 clients and were also accepting walk-in clients daily at the City Health Office.

Also, the aim of this activity was to provide the rehabilitation, self-development, and self-reliance of disabled persons and their reintegration into the mainstream of society and for other purposes highlight the rights and privileges of disabled persons.

In addition, the CHO – PWD Program team will continue to provide services to Persons with disabilities in the local community. Their upcoming schedule will be on March 07, 2023, at Barangay Patpat and daily at the City Health Office. The team is committed to helping individuals who already have disabilities recover and prevent others from developing them. (PR)
