7 sites sa Bukidnon nakaangkon og free Wi-Fi access

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (August 15, 2024) – Nakaangkon og free Wi-Fi access ang pito ka mga barangay sa Bukidnon bag-ohay lang

Ang pito ka mga dapit lakip sa activated nga 600 ka mga lugar sa nasud nga natabonan sa Connectivity, Capability, and Resiliency through Free Wi-Fi for All (CoRe FW4A) project sa Department of Information and Technology (DICT uban sa United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Nahigayon ang nationwide launching sa proyekto sa People’s Hall sa Malaybalay City, Bukidnon kaniadtong Agosto 15, 2024.

Diha sa programa si Mr. Paul Tuason, director sa DICT, Ms. Vivien Suerte-Cortez, team leader sa UNDP Philippines Institutions and Partnerships, Malaybalay City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran, ug uban pa.

Duha sa mga proyekto sa Bukidnon ang lakip sa Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) diin ang Free Wi-Fi naplastar sa Barangay Hall sa Cabadiangan, Kadingilan ug sa Santa Felomina Barangay Hall sa Quezon.

Samtang ang lima pa anaa sa Indigenous People’s (IP) communities nga naplastar sa Saint Peter Barangay Hall sa Malaybalay City, Dolorosa Barangay Hall sa Dangcagan, Maraymaray Barangay Hall sa Don Carlos, Kalabugao Barangay Hall sa Impasug-ong ug Sampaguita Barangay Hall sa Kibawe.

Ang CoRe FW4A project direktang gipatuman sa UNDP nga nagsuporta sa pagpatuman sa DICT sa Free Wi-Fi for All (FWFA) Program niini subay sa R.A. 10929 kon Free Internet Access in Public Spaces Act of 2017.

Damulog town in Bukidnon declared insurgency-free

The Municipality of Damulog in Bukidnon becomes the third municipality in the province to be officially declared insurgency-free after San Fernando and Kadingilan, the Philippine Army 10th Infantry Division said on Wednesday, August 14, 2024

The declaration was formalized through Resolution No. 158, Series of 2024, and was celebrated during a ceremony held at the Municipal Gymnasium in Damulog on Tuesday, August 13.

Brigadier General Marion Angcao, commander of the 1003rd Infantry (Raptor) Brigade, commended this collaborative effort, emphasizing the critical role that unity and cooperation played in achieving this milestone.

He added that the declaration is a testament to the exceptional coordination between the uniformed personnel, local authorities, and the citizens of Damulog, who worked together to set a new standard for peace and progress in Bukidnon.

Meanwhile, Major General Allan Hambala, commander of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, lauded the relentless and tireless efforts of the troops under the 48th Infantry (Guardians) Battalion.

Hambala acknowledged the sacrifices made by the soldiers and the unwavering support from the community, which were instrumental in bringing about this historic change.

Gitudloan sa Provincial Agriculture Office ang mga mag-uuma sa Bukidnon kansang umahan nahimutang sa slope areas o bakilid nga bahin, pinaagi sa Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Training

Sumala sa kasayoran sa PGB, sa maong pagbansay, ang mga mag-uuma gitudloan sa malungtarong pagdumala sa yuta.

Ang training naglangkub sa agriculture and type of food production, integrated pest management, hinungdan og epekto sa soil pollution, soil erosion ug soil conservation and management.

Tinguha niini aron masuportahan ang pagtubo sa ekonomiya, kaayohan sa katilingban, ug pagpadayon sa kalikopan.

Ang kalihukan gitimbayayongan sa PGO- Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Division (PDRRMD) alang sa mosunod nga mga dapit.

3,097 Bukidnon farmers receive fuel subsidy

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon – Some 3,097 farmers from Valencia City and the towns of San Fernando, Dangcagan, Damulog, Don Carlos and Kadingilan of Bukidnon province received fuel assistance amounting to P9.291-million from the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) helmed by Regional Executive Director Jose Apollo Y. Pacamalan, on May 20, 2024

The assistance, provided by the agency’s Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED), aims to help farmers who are mechanizing their farm operations with various agricultural machinery in order to strengthen farmers’ resilience and reduce the impact of oil price increases on farmers’ production costs.

Furthermore, the project is in line with the DA chief’s three-year strategy to mechanize and modernize agriculture and fishery production systems in order to boost agricultural productivity, cut food costs, assure food security, and make farming and fishing a more bankable investment option.

The fuel discount cards were distributed to 1,230 farmers in Valencia City, 503 in San Fernando, 742 in Dangcagan, 110 in Damulog, 106 in Don Carlos, and 406 in Kadingilan.

Each farmer-beneficiary will receive P3K, provided they are duly enrolled in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).

He/she or the Farmers’ Cooperative Association (FCA) to which he/she belongs must own operable farm machinery as listed in the Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering Management Information System (ABEMIS).

One of the Valencia City recipients, Anna S. Neri, thanked the department for making the effort to offer farmers fuel subsidies, which serve to reduce the cost of gasoline or fuel.

Furthermore, the distribution is accomplished in collaboration with Universal Storefront Services, Corp. (MPMT)

DA-NorMin breaks ground for establishment of corn, rice processing centers in Bukidnon

DALWANGAN, Malaybalay City – In its aim to support the post-production systems of two of the region’s top agricultural commodities, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-10) helmed by Regional Executive Director Jose Apollo Y. Pacamalan, recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the establishment of rice and corn processing centers in the province of Bukidnon

On May 24, DA Undersecretary for High-Value Crops Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero, with DA-10 Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga and Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations Cora A. Dumayaca led the groundbreaking of the two processing centers.

Funded under the agency’s Rice Program, a 900 sq.m. rice processing center, worth over P49 million will soon serve farmers in Barangay Pinatilan, Valencia City, Bukidnon.

Said infrastructure will also include one mechanical dryer set, with a capacity of 10 to 12 tons per set, as well as one direct-fired biomass furnace with a maximum heat power of 500.

Through said facility, DA aims to strategically improve the efficiency of the rice post-production system, and reduce post-harvest losses, thereby ensuring the improved quality of milled rice from the said community.

Meanwhile, a 1,920 sq.m. corn processing center will also soon rise in DA’s Research Center for Upland Development in Barangay Barongcot, Dangcagan, Bukidnon.

Funded through DA’s Corn Program, the corn processing center worth over P98-million, also includes a pre-cleaner and aspirator; 2 mechanical dryer sets, each able to cater 27-30 tons per set; and 2 corn silos with a capacity of around 1,500 to 2,000 tons per set.

Strategically located in the southern part of Bukidnon, the corn facility aims to bolster the needs of local farmers, and foster a more sustainable and efficient production of nearby corn-producing municipalities including Maramag, Don Carlos, Kitaotao, Kadingilan, Kalilangan, Pangantucan, Kibawe, Damulog, and Quezon.

Said interventions are aligned with DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr.’s three-year, eight-point plan for a ‘Masaganang Bagong Pilipinas’, which entails the modernization and mechanization of agri-fishery productions, as well as the development and improvement of post-harvest systems and infrastructures throughout the country.

Signifying their support for the project, the groundbreaking ceremony was also participated by Farmer-Director for the month of May, Nilda B. Salas; and DA-10 Provincial Operations Center – Bukidnon chief Janet D. Lopez, DVM with Rice Program focal person Chona H. Nacalaban and Corn Program focal person Richan D. Lacanaria. (GDA)

Nakasumite ngadto sa PGO-PDRRMD ang unom ka mga LGUs sa Bukidnon sa ilang SB Resolutions nga nagdeklara sa ilang area of responsibility ubos sa state of calamity, gumikan sa nasinati nga taas nga panahon sa ting-init o dry spell

Sumala sa social media page sa provincial government sa Bukidnon, ang unom ka mga munisipyo mao ang Kibawe, Kitaotao, Quezon, Cabanglasan, Pangantucan, ug Impasugong.

Nakasumite usab sa ilang report sa kadaot sa hulaw ang Kadingilan, Damulog ug Valencia City apan wala magdeklara sa state of calamity.

Sa punto sa Valencia, ang City Disaster Risk Reduction Managemernt Council (CDRRMC) nagpalabang og resolution nga nagrekominda sa konseho sa maong dakbayan alang sa deklarasyon sa State of Calamity.

Nasayran ang kasayoran sa report ni Mr. Israel Johan M. Damasco, Jr., head sa PGO-PDRRMD atol sa radio program sa PGB – “ang Kalihukan sa Probinsya” kaniadtong Mayo 17, 2024.

Iyang gibatbat ang Revised Guidelines alang sa Declaration of a State of Calamity sa NDRRMC.

Isa ka babayeng wanted ang nasikop sa mga miyembro sa Kadingilan Municipal Police Station (KMPS) gumikan sa daghang mga kaso

Sumala sa report sa Kadingilan MPS, ang sinikop nailang si Jenevie Geniston Coritico, dalaga, 37 anyos.

Nasikop siya pinasubay sa outstanding warrant of arrest didto sa nagkadaiyang mga kaso sa Purok 2, Rizal Street, Brgy. Don Carlos Sur, Don Carlos, Bukidnon pasado alas 2:27 sa buntag niadtong Enero 25, 2024.

Giatubang sa akusado ang isa ka ihap sa kasong Qualified theft nga nakadokit sa criminal case NO. CR. ORD. 2017-1387, pinetsahan Enero 30, 2017 nga adunay girekomindang bail bond nga Php80,000.00.

Samtang akusado sab siya 65 ka mga kaso sa Falsification of Commercial Document nga nakadokit sa upat ka managlahing kaso kriminal.

Ang maong mga kaso adunay kinatibuk-ang girekomindang bail bond nga P780,000.00.

Isa ka livelihood turnover ceremony ang nahigayon sa Kadingilan, Bukidnon niadtong Setyembre 29, 2023

Ang turnover gipahigayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) X – Bukidnon Provincial Field Office (BukPFO) pinaagi sa DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

Sumala sa pahibalo sa DOLE-X BukPFO, adunay 47 ka ginikanan sa child laborers ang nakadawat sa working capital nga mikabat sa Php15,000.00.

Ang livelihood project nagtumong sa pagdugang ug pagsuporta sa kita sa mga benepisyaryo, sa pagpasiugda sa self-employment, ug sa pagpagaan sa negatibong epekto sa nagpadayong pandemya. (Omar Rashid Z. Abdullah)
