VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 10 has launched a three-day workshop on the Localization and Operationalization of the Protocol on Risk-Based Case Management for Children Involved in Armed Conflict (CIAC) under the PEACE Project, held from March 30 to April 1, 2026, at Hotel Valencia
In a statement, the agency said the activity marks a significant step in strengthening coordination among implementers from the Local Government Units (LGUs) of San Fernando, Talaingod, and the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte.
During the opening, OIC-Assistant Regional Director for Operations Delia A. Maravillosa highlighted the importance of advancing risk-based case management for children affected by armed conflict, describing the workshop as both a technical engagement and a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
Guided by the principles of kalinaw (peace), panalipod (protection), and kaayohan (well-being), the PEACE Project also promotes gugma (love), pagtuo (faith), and panaghiusa (unity) to ensure that children in conflict-affected communities receive proper care, protection, and opportunities.
The initiative underscores DSWD-10’s commitment to strengthening child protection systems that are holistic, rights-based, and responsive to the realities on the ground. (melbmadera)
