Bukidnon produces 8 topnotchers in LET March 2026 exams

MALAYBALAY CITY (May 12, 2026/ BukidnonNews.Net) – Graduates from Bukidnon State University (BukSU) and Central Mindanao University (CMU) landed among the country’s topnotchers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET)

BukSU produced five topnotchers in the national examination, led by Princess Willah M. Yamahon of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) program who topped the elementary level nationwide with a 95 percent rating.

 

Three other BukSU graduates also entered the Top 10 in the elementary category. Sophia Acquin A. Parista of the BECEd program and Elkan T. Salumintao of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program both placed fifth with ratings of 93.80 percent, while Shekinah Philline J. Sayson ranked eighth with 93.20 percent.

 

In the secondary level, Ian Fherd S. Tamong of BukSU’s Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program placed eighth nationwide with a 93.60 percent rating.

 

BukSU also posted high institutional passing rates, recording a 97.14 percent passing rate for first-time takers in the elementary level after 34 out of 35 examinees passed. In the secondary level, 180 out of 204 first-time takers passed for an 88.24 percent passing rate.

 

Central Mindanao University recorded a 94.42 percent passing rate in the secondary level examination, producing 215 newly registered professional teachers. Of the total passers, 195 were first-time takers.

 

CMU also produced three national topnotchers in the secondary level examination. Juvy Cristina Mosuta Rosales placed fifth nationwide, while Hezziel Narbay Delima ranked ninth and April Lloyd Morala Monopollo secured the 10th spot.

 

The strong LET performance of Bukidnon universities reflected the province’s continued strength in teacher education and licensure preparation.

 

Nationwide, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that 18,376 out of 32,796 examinees passed the elementary level examination for a 56.03 percent passing rate, while 45,001 out of 61,561 passed the secondary level examination, equivalent to a 73.10 percent passing rate (BukidnonNews.Net)
