DA releases P5.7-M subsidy to 1,145 Maramag rice farmers

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (Dec. 27, 2021) – The Department of Agriculture (DA) has released a total of P5,725,000.00 subsidy to 1,145 rice farmers of Maramag, Bukidnon.

In a Facebook post of Maramag Municipal Agriculture Office, each of the 1,145 Maramag rice farmers has received ₱5,000 DAs cash subsidy with its third leg of distribution under the Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RFFA) program on December 23, 2021.

The program is spearheaded by the Rice Program DA-10 thru Agriculture Office Maramag in partnership with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and Universal Storefront Services Corp. (USSC).

Eligible rice farmers have received their financial assistance who were enrolled in the Registry System of Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) with landholdings of two (2) hectares and below in response to the Rice Tarrification Law (RTL).

Apart from it, the said event will showcase DA-Intervention Monitoring Card (IMC) demonstrating the RCEF-RFFA withdrawal scheme that will serve as identification and cash cards of the farmer-beneficiaries.
