CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (September 26, 2025, 1:35 p.m.) – Thirty officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways–Northern Mindanao (DPWH-10) tendered their unqualified resignations, while clarifying there are no ghost projects under their jurisdiction

DPWH-10 information officer Roshelle Novie Cabrido said the courtesy resignations cover positions such as Regional Director, Assistant Regional Director, District Engineers, and Assistant District Engineers.

“Unqualified resignation means not until the Secretary acts on it, they will continue to report to the office and continue with their usual work,” she said in an interview late Thursday.

Cabrido also clarified that some misleading social media posts regarding flood-control infrastructures in the area were incorrect.

All were completed, such as those in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, she said.

She cited one in Sitio Lagaan, Barangay Apo Macote, Malaybalay City, which has ongoing corrective works.

Two others in Purok 4 and Purok 8, Barangay Linabo, were completed on March 5, 2024, at a cost of PHP 96.4 million.

Cabrido said DPWH-10 personnel were dispatched to some flood-control infrastructures reported to be damaged. (Nef Luczon/PNA)
