MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — The Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office 10 (DA-10) convened provincial, municipal, and city agriculturists, together with Local Farmer Technicians (LFTs) from across Bukidnon, during a program coordination activity held on January 20 at the Provincial Farmers Training Center here

Through its program coordinators, DA-10 presented its proposed 2026 interventions covering key agricultural sectors—including rice, corn, livestock, high-value crops, organic agriculture, and agribusiness and marketing assistance—as well as farm-to-market road projects aimed at improving agricultural productivity and market access in the province.

The activity also featured discussions on proposed amendments to the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEW) Incentive Guidelines, which were presented for provincial review and recommendations.

Participants were likewise briefed on updating and submitting reports through DA digital platforms and systems, including the registration and updating of farmers’ records under the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).

As part of the agreed ways forward, the department outlined capacity-building activities for 2026, including training on the proper operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as digital training to enhance the online reporting capabilities of AEWs and LFTs.

The activity served as a venue to align provincial and local agricultural programs with DA-10 priorities to ensure the coordinated implementation of agricultural services in Bukidnon. (pr)
