CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Northern Mindanao reported significant progress in land distribution, debt condonation, and support services for farmers during the Kapihan sa PIA on Dec. 22, 2025
DAR Regional Director Zoraida O. Macadindang stated that the office has achieved 97.4% of its regular land distribution target, awarding 31,380 hectares to approximately 188,248 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) across the region.
The office has also issued 11,908 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROM) to 9,768 beneficiaries, relieving them of ₱619.55 million in agrarian reform debts. An additional ₱76.2 million in debt was scheduled for condonation at a later distribution activity.
DAR-10 is also implementing the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (Project SPLIT) in partnership with the World Bank. This project converts collective landholdings into individual titles to strengthen land tenure security.
Thus far, a total of 11,727 electronic titles have been distributed to 11,382 beneficiaries, covering more than 15,825 hectares, mainly in Bukidnon. Another 7,035 electronic titles covering over 11,574 hectares were scheduled for awarding to 7,674 ARBs at a separate event.
The agency also reported progress in the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program, providing 136 units of farm machinery and equipment worth ₱31.16 million to 89 ARB organizations from July 2022 to Dec. 22, 2025. More than 6,400 beneficiaries received aid aimed at improving farm productivity and livelihoods.
Macadindang emphasized that DAR remains committed to delivering comprehensive agrarian reform services, including land distribution, debt relief, and support programs to strengthen food security and livelihoods in Northern Mindanao. (Jan Albert K. Araña/PIA-10)
