DSWD-10 grants P8.1-M livelihood projects to 23 SLPAs in Malaybalay

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Region 10, together with partner organizations and local government officials, conducted a turnover ceremony for Social Livelihood Program (SLP) grants on October 26, 2023

The turnover, held at the City Agriculture Office Conference Room, has distributed of a total of PhP8,100,000.00 to 23 Social Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs).

The initiative aims to empower poor, vulnerable, and marginalized households and communities, facilitating socio-economic improvement through access to necessary assets for establishing and sustaining thriving livelihoods.

Representing the DSWD at the event were Ronald Ryan Cui, Assistant Regional Director Officer (ARDO), and Glen Inovero, the SLP Provincial Coordinator. Additionally, Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran and Councilor Cromwell Kiril Dinlayan, along with partner organizations, Engr. Richard B. Leono of City Agriculture and Rey Valdez of City Social Welfare and Development Office attended the turnover ceremony.

The 69 representatives from the 23 SLPAs were not only recipients of the grants but also participants in a comprehensive capability-building program.

The program included training sessions on financial literacy and microenterprise development to equip them to undertake group projects using the capital extended by the DSWD.

The recipients of the SLP programs and their respective grant amounts are as follows: Shine Miglamin SLPA (PhP255K), Uswag Dalwangan SLPA (PhP450K), Biotifull SLPA (Sinanglanan) – PhP360K, Budakan SLPA (Caburacanan) – PhP450K, Golden Chick SLPA (Sinanglanan) – PhP360K, Impaquebel SLPA (Linabo) – PhP435K, Kahulogan SLPA (Magsaysay) – PhP405K, Mt. Pinulutan SLPA (Mapulo) – PhP405K, Paiwaig SLPA (Linabo) – PhP165K, Romuk-at Tayo SLPA (Simaya) – PhP435K, Livelihood Dreamers SLPA (Apo Macote) – PHp375K, Bangcud Small Business Association – PhP435K, Maligaya Dumayas Bagong Silang – PhP390K, Sagan Ka Bukid Saint Peter SLPA – PhP345K, Santo Niño Mabuligon SLPA – PhP360K, Zamboanguita Rising Farmers SLPA – PhP375K, Kulaman EO 70 SLPA – PhP300K, Mapulo EO 70 SLPA – PhP300K, Nalumusan Agri-Supply EO70 SLPA – PhP300K, Pigbuligaan San Jose EO70 SLPA – PhP300K, Can-ayan Pamana SLPA – PhP300K, Kibalabag Pamana SLPA – PhP300K, and Manalog Pamana SLPA – PhP300K.

The grants will be subject to ongoing monitoring by the DSWD in collaboration with Project Development Officers and Monitoring Staff, ensuring the effective utilization of funds for their intended purposes. (CSWDO-NADA/melbmadera)
