IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon — The Municipality of Impasugong has secured P5 million under
the national government’s Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) to rehabilitate and transform
an existing municipal facility into a youth and wellness hub
Mayor Jetaime Okinlay-Gumban confirmed that the municipal treasurer has already received the
funds, which was approved following the LGU’s project proposal presentation during the
Mindanao Island Cluster Conference of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) in
Cebu.
“We are grateful that the P5 million we proposed has already been downloaded to the local
government,” Okinlay-Gumban said, adding that the facility will bring accessible sports, health,
and social spaces directly to residents, particularly the youth.
The mayor said that LGSF assistance enables LGUs to execute priority projects beyond the
limits of their regular local revenues.
She assured that the municipality will adhere strictly to prescribed implementation and
accounting procedures.
Expanded under the 2026 General Appropriations Act, the LGSF holds a record P57.872-billion
allocation to assist LGUs nationwide with infrastructure, health, disaster response, and food
security programs.
The grant aligns with the Bagong Pilipinas agenda of translating national resources into concrete
community-level infrastructure and services. (Bernadith G. Epan/PIA-10/Bukidnon)
