CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) of Northern Mindanao addressed infrastructure and project implementation issues during its 3rd Quarter 2025 meeting held on July 24, 2025, under the Regional Development Council (RDC) of Northern Mindanao
The meeting was conducted in a hybrid setup at the RDC Main Conference Room and via Zoom. It gathered representatives from regional planning offices, national government agencies, and state universities and colleges (SUCs) to assess development projects and align implementation strategies.
RPMC Chairperson and RDC Acting Chairperson Mylah Faye Aurora B. Cariño, who is also Regional Director of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Regional Office, presided over the session. She reiterated the importance of using data to guide decision-making and of coordinated efforts to address delays in project execution.
The committee discussed findings and follow-up actions from project monitoring visits held in Camiguin and Bukidnon in May and June 2025. These visits were conducted to verify progress and address issues in project implementation.
Also presented was the Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System Report for the 2nd Quarter of 2025. The committee approved the list of programs and projects for monitoring in the next quarter.
Updates on SUC projects were also shared during the meeting. Representatives from Bukidnon State University, Central Mindanao University, Camiguin Polytechnic State College, Mindanao State University (MSU)-Naawan, MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology, Northern Bukidnon State College, Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology, Oroquieta Agro-Industrial School, and the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines reported on ongoing development efforts.
