MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (09:45 PM November 22, 2025) — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue District Office (RDO) No. 99 ramped up its year-end tax compliance campaign aimed at strengthening taxpayer awareness and improving accuracy in financial reporting ahead of the close of the fiscal year

RDO 99 held several sessions that drew business owners, individual taxpayers, and barangay treasurers from a number of municipalities in Bukidnon.

Revenue officers outlined key reminders on year-end adjustments, newly issued tax regulations, and common compliance gaps that taxpayers often overlook.

BIR officials highlighted that understanding year-end adjustments is essential in ensuring correct reporting of withholding taxes, preventing errors that could lead to penalties, and fostering transparency in both private and public financial activities.

They also stressed that updated knowledge of tax rules enables individuals and businesses to make informed decisions, particularly as new issuances take effect.

The seminars likewise provided an open forum where attendees raised questions, clarified gray areas in tax regulations, and received direct guidance from revenue personnel.

Revenue District Officer (RDO) Mampay U. Pangcoga said that the direct engagement helps bridge knowledge gaps and promotes more responsive tax administration at the community level.

The district office thanked participants for their strong turnout and emphasized that sustained collaboration between taxpayers and revenue authorities is vital to building a culture of responsible taxation.

Strengthening tax literacy, it added, plays a crucial role in improving revenue collection and enhancing public service delivery across Bukidnon.

The series of seminars forms part of RDO 99’s broader initiative to cultivate transparency, accountability, and informed compliance as the year draws to a close. (Mel N. Velez/INQ Mindanao)
