MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (Nov. 26, 2025) – A new chapter in Bukidnon’s agricultural development began as the Provincial Government of Bukidnon, represented by Governor Rogelio Neil “Oneil” Roque, and the Department of Agriculture (DA), led by Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr., officially signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Bukidnon Food Hub Development Project

The signing ceremony, held on November 26, 2025, at the 52nd Engineering Brigade in Manolo Fortich, marked a milestone in the province’s push to modernize its agricultural sector, according to a Facebook post by LGU Bukidnon.

The PHP 1.97-billion project, set within the BRCI in Barangay Dicklum, Manolo Fortich, is fully funded by the DA and aims to transform the province into a central hub for high-value crops and farm produce.

Designed to achieve economies of scale, the Food Hub will enhance market linkages, improve access to credit and financing, and foster sustainable agribusiness partnerships. It is also expected to boost productivity and operational efficiency for farmers across Bukidnon.

The facility will feature cold storage units, dry warehouses, dryers and dehydrators, an ice plant, a corn processing center, a vegetable and fruit processing hub, a bamboo processing area, as well as coffee and cacao processing centers, including a dressing plant—all connected through efficient logistics networks.

The project underscores Bukidnon’s commitment to strengthening its agricultural industry while providing farmers and agripreneurs the tools and support needed to thrive in a competitive market. (melbmadera)
