MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon – The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) formally turned over eight solar lights and a water tank to an Indigenous Peoples (IP) community in Sitio Malipayon, Barangay Tagbak, Talakag, Bukidnon on February 5, 2026

Dubbed “Project Liwanag at Tubig,” the Quick Impact Project aims to improve community safety, provide access to clean water, and enhance the overall quality of life of residents, PRO-10 said in a press statement.

A press release stated that the initiative was implemented under the Revitalized Pulis Sa Barangay (R-PSB) program, which seeks to address community-identified needs through strengthened police-community engagement.

Messages of support were delivered during the blessing and turnover ceremony by Tribal Leader Datu Migbangun Nori Lugpao, Barangay Tagbak Captain Runnie Mhel P. Salungayan, and PRO-10 Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Christopher N. Abrahano.

Abrahano said the activity was in line with the directive of the Chief of the Philippine National Police and underscores the police force’s commitment to reaching geographically isolated communities.

He added that the initiative reflects PRO-10’s adherence to the PNP’s guiding principle, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” ensuring that government services reach even the most remote areas.

Personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB-10), led by Officer-in-Charge Police Lt. Col. Bernard E. Pagaduan, also took part in the activity, highlighting the unit’s support for PRO-10’s mission and its continuing efforts to strengthen community presence. (melbmadera)
