MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon – The Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office 10
(DA-10) continued the distribution of financial assistance under the Presidential Assistance to
Farmers and Fisherfolk Program (PAFFP) on July 16–17, benefiting more than 9,600 farmers in
the Bukidnon towns of Maramag, Don Carlos, and Dangcagan.

In a statement, the DA RFO 10 said implemented in partnership with the respective local
government units (LGUs), the payout aims to help farmers cope with rising production costs and
other economic challenges affecting the agriculture sector.
A total of 9,618 registered farmers are expected to receive assistance under the program. On July
16, 4,489 farmers from Maramag received their cash aid. Meanwhile, the payout continued on
July 17 for 2,911 beneficiaries in Don Carlos and 2,218 beneficiaries in Dangcagan, with each
recipient receiving Php2,325.
Eligible beneficiaries are registered under the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture
(RSBSA), the government’s official database of farmers and fisherfolk that serves as the primary
gateway to agricultural assistance, interventions, and support services.
For Jacinto Q. Pacala Jr., a rice farmer from Purok 3, Barangay Barongcot, Dangcagan, the
assistance comes at a crucial time as farmers continue to battle pests that threaten their crops.
“Usa gyud sa mga hagit isip rice farmer mao ang pag-atubang sa mga dangan o pests sama sa
mga ilaga ug uban pa. Karon, dako kaayo akong pasalamat nga naapil ko niining programa kay
aduna koy dugang cash assistance nga akong ipalit og mga kemikal para sa pagsanta sa mga
dangan,” Pacala said.
DA-10 continues to roll out the PAFFP payout across Northern Mindanao, ensuring that more
qualified farmers receive timely financial assistance to sustain their farming operations and
improve agricultural productivity.
The initiative underscores the government’s continuing commitment to supporting Filipino
farmers by providing immediate relief from escalating production costs while strengthening the
country’s food security efforts. (melbmadera)
