29 Bukidnon rice farmers, gibansay

Adunay 29 ka mga rice farmers sa Bukidnon ang gibansay sa lowland rice production ubos sa Farmers Field School (FFS)

Gitaho sa LGU Bukidnon nga ang mga mag-uuma mi-gradwar gikan sa ilang pagbansay niadtong Oktubre 17, 2023 sa Barangay Kulasihan, lungsod sa Lantapan, Bukidnon.

Matod sa pahibalo, gipasiugdahan ang pagbansay sa Provincial Agriculture Office (PAgrO), Municipal Agriculture Office sa lungsod sa Lantapan ug Department of Agriculture.

Ang mga mag-uuma gitaho nga gibansay sulod sa 16 ka semana.

Sila gibansay kabahin sa Morphology of Rice Plant, Agro Ecological System Analysis (AESA), Trichogramma application, Natural Farming Technology System (NFTS), ug uban pang teknik sa pagpananom.

Sa laing bahin, gilusad sab niadtong Oktubre 3 ang lowland rice production training sa Barangay Kalabugao, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.

Kini nga pagbansay gisalmotan sab sa 30 ka mga mag-uuma. (MG Mayumi B. Madera)

Gipangunahan sa City Agriculture Office ang pagpahigayon sa Rice Farmers Day atol sa Farmer’s Month Celebration, Oktubre 24, 2023

Patugbaw sa maong kasaulogan ang mga aktibidades sama sa rice technology forum, agri-product display, manual rice milling ug winnowing contest, ug agri-raffle nga aktibong gipartisiparan sa mga rice farmers sa kabarangayan.

Padayon ang kalingawan atol sa kasaulogan sa 10th Farmers’ Month sa Dakbayan sa Valencia niadtong Oktubre 25, 2023, ang Corn Farmers Day.

Pipila ka mga aktibidad ang gihan-ay sa maong kalihokan sama sa Corn Technology Forum, Manual Corn Shelling Contest, ug Coconut Husking & Grinding Contest. Gibida usab ang nagkalain-laing produkto sa pang-agrikultura sama sa mga utanon ug kakanin nga pwedeng mapalit ug nakadisplay sa City Hall covered court.

Laing mga aktibidades usab ang ipahigayon ugma, Oktubre 26, diin adlaw kini alang sa atong mga mangingisda. Lakip sa ipahigayon ang HVCC & fishery Forum, Best Hito ug Tilapia Recipe Contest ug uban pa.

Ginasaulog sa Dakbayan sa Valencia matag bulan sa Oktubre ang Farmers’ Month pinasubay sa City Ordinance No. 54-2011 isip pagpahinungod sa importansiya ug kaabag sa tanang mag-uuma sa pagkab-ot sa kalamboan sa dakbayan. (LGU Valencia)

PSA-10 urges support for agri, fisheries census

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-10 called on government agencies and instrumentalities, local government units, and agriculture stakeholders to support the conduct of the 2022 Census on Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF)

PSA-10 Officer-in-Charge Janith Aves said the CAF is a large-scale government undertaking geared towards collecting and compiling basic information on the agricultural and fishery sectors of the country.

Primarily, the census seeks to determine the country’s structural characteristics of the agriculture and fishery sectors. It also aims to provide basic data on agriculture, aquaculture, and fishing characteristics for use in the government’s national and local development planning.

Activities that the 2022 CAF will cover are growing crops, livestock and poultry, aquaculture, and fisheries from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

Aves said the data collected from the census will constitute the bases from which policymakers and planners formulate their plans and programs for the country’s socioeconomic development.

The 2022 CAF, she added, is the seventh in a series of decennial agricultural censuses and the sixth in the series of decennial censuses of fisheries in the country since 1903.

The nationwide census will commence on September 4, 2023, to coincide with National Agriculture and Fisheries Census Month observance. (APB/PIA-10)
