Ang suspetsado sa pagpandunggab nga nahitabo niadtong Marso 26, 2023 sa Capitol Ground, Brgy. 6, Malaybalay City, nasikop na sa kapolisan

Si Police Lt. Col. Julius Clark Prisco M. Macariola IV, OIC sa Malaybalay City Police Station, sa iyang report, niila sa suspek nga si Junel Boyan Villacera, 20, ulitawo, ug residente sa P-1B, Magsaysay, Malaybalay City.

Ang unang biktima ni Villacera, isa ka menor de edad nga naka angkon og isa ka samad dinunggaban sa iyang tiyan. Ang biktima dali-daling gidala sa Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center alang sa pagpatambal.

Human na aresto ang suspek, ang iyang ika duhang biktima nga giila nga si Ricky Taghoy Belancueva, 24, ulitawo, ug residente sa Beshiba, Kitaotao, Bukidnon niadto ug nangayog tabang sa mga kapolisan.

Si Belancueva, kinsa naka angkon og isa ka samad dinunggaban sa iyang likod, niila ug nikompirma sa maong suspek. Siya gidala usab sa BPMC aron matambalan.

Sa maong ihap, 59 niini ang nipailalom sa major surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy- 13; laparoscopic hernia repair- 16; thyroidectomy – 17; hemorrhoidectomy- 3; excision- 3; GYNE-
TAHBSO – 7), 42 ang sa minor surgery , 69 ang sa dental services ug 30 ang sa Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF) alang sa dialysis patients.

Tulo ka tawo ang gidunggab sa ilang kainom sa Purok-6, Barangay Magsaysay, Malaybalay City

Duha ang patay ug isa ang samdan sa insidente nga nahitabo kaniadtong Marso 04, 2023 pasado alas 9:05 sa gabie.

Ang namatay mao sila Julie Cabonada Maraasin, 58, minyo, laborer; ug Danilo Cabonada Maraasin, 52, minyo, laborer.

Samtang samdan si Sofronio Ojano Tina-an, 59, ulitawo, laborer.

Ang suspek giila nga si Paquito Cabonada Maraasin, 55, minyo, laborer.

Gitaho nga ang mga biktima ug ang suspetsado nagkainom sa panimalay ni Sofronio Tina-an, sa dihang nagkalalis kini gumikan sa hisgutanan kabahin sa gold mining.

Giingon nga giibot sa suspek ang iyang kutsilyo nga naa sa iyang hawak ug dayong dayong gidunggab ang mga biktima.

Si Police Lt. Col. Ritchie A. Salva, OIC sa Malaybalay City Police Station, sa iyang taho, niingon nga ang mga biktima gidala sa Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center apan gideklara nga patay na sa wala pa nahiabot sila Julie ug Danilo Maraasin, samtang si Sofronio Tina-an ubos pa sa obserbasyon gumikan sa mga samad dinunggaban nga naangkon niini.

Gisuportahan sa 27th Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) ang sulat-hangyo ni Provincial Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque, pinetsahan Enero 18, 2023, pinaagi sa Resolution No. 2023-1099(27th SP), kabahin sa aplikasyon sa Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center (BPMC), alang sa lisensya sa operasyon sa usa ka blood bank, isip nag-unang Blood Bank Center sa probinsya

Sa kasamtangan, ang BPMC nga nahimutang sa syudad sa Malaybalay, adunay blood bank nga mao ang nagpahigayon sa blood screening, donor selection and collection of blood unit, onsite og off-site o mobile blood donation activity.

City Health Office conducts food safety orientation for food handlers

The City Health Office recently conducted a food safety orientation for food handlers on February 8, 2023, at the Enhanced Screening Area and Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center, in this city. The event was held to educate food handlers in the city on the importance of proper food handling and storage practices to prevent foodborne illnesses

A total of 106 food handlers, the majority of whom were local eatery owners, city food vendors, and BPMC kitchen cooks, attended the orientation. Sanitary Inspector Jenny Jumamoy, Nurse Fiona Helena Maquiling, and Hezron Belonio from the City Health Office’s environmental sanitation program discussed the dangers of foodborne illnesses and the steps that can be taken to prevent them.

The participants were also taught about the proper way to handle food, including washing their hands regularly, wearing gloves while handling food and keeping food at the right temperature to prevent spoilage. The speakers also stressed the importance of maintaining clean and sanitary working conditions to prevent contamination.

In addition to the Food Handlers Class, some food handlers shared their experiences and best practices for food safety, which provided valuable insights for the other food handlers in attendance.

At the end of the orientation, participants received certificates of completion and were encouraged to continue learning about food safety. The City Health Office also stated that they will be conducting similar orientations in the future to ensure that all food handlers in the community are aware of the importance of food safety.

This food safety orientation is a testament to the City Health Office’s commitment to promoting public health and ensuring that residents have access to safe and healthy food. The City Health Office hopes that this initiative will help reduce the number of foodborne illnesses in the community and promote a healthier food environment for all. (CHO-NADA)

Base sa pahibalo sa lokal na panggamhanan, ang blood letting activity gipahigayon sa Centennial Stage sa syudad sa Malaybalay niadtong Pebrero 3, 2023.

BPMC chief is first to get COVID-19 vaccine in Bukidnon

MALAYBALAY CITY, March 9 (PIA) — Dr. Miguel Antonio Prantilla, chief of Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center (BPMC), was the first front liner to be injected with the COVID-19 vaccine in Bukidnon.

“As medical doctors, it is important that we not only understand this commitment but also reassure the public that these COVID-19 vaccines will prove widespread immunity. We are getting it first to show that there is really nothing to fear,” Prantilla said on March 8 during the first day of its 3-day actual vaccination.

Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri, Jr., in a statement, said Dr. Prantilla’s supportive gesture of volunteering to be inoculated in public sets as an example to more than 500 healthcare workers who were scheduled to get the vaccines.

“We have seen surveys reporting that significant percentages of the public were reluctant to take the available vaccines. We hope that this act of our BPMC chief will encourage us to be vaccinated so that we can establish the so-called herd immunity,” the governor said.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Gary Guido Tabios, meanwhile, reported that BPMC had targeted 218 front liners to be inoculated on the first day (March 8), but only 202 got their first shots because records showed there were 13 deferrals and three swift rejections.

Tabios added that only one of BPMC’s 202 vaccinated front-liners had encountered AEAIE (Adverse Event After Immunization Experience). “The AEAIE that appeared in the form of rashes alleviated quickly after taking anti-histamine,” he said.

The PHO chief reported that the Department of Health in Region 10 (DOH-10) delivered 530 doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines to Bukidnon for the BPMC’s 530 front liners.

He also confirmed that in the next few months, Bukidnon will have 390,000 doses of Novavax vaccines for those who are on the government’s priority list, as affirmed by the Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Mr. Hansel T. Echavez, supervising administrative officer of the Public Affairs Information and Assistance (PAIA) Division of the Office of the Governor as of 6:50 PM on March 9 said, they are waiting for the final report from BPMC about the actual number of health front-liners who received the first inoculation.
