Si Police Lt. Col. Joepet B. Paglinawan, OIC sa Malaybalay City Police Station, niingon sa iyang report nga nasakmit gikan sa hingkod nga mga suspek ang gidudahang shabu nga nibalor og P136,503.


Ang tulo, uban sa mga ebidensya, gidala sa Malaybalay CPS ug pagkahuman gidala usab ngadto sa Provincial Forensic Unit alang sa qualitative ug quantitative examinations.

Gidala sa hospital ang 63-anyos nga lalaki human gidunggab sa iyang 62-anyos nga asawa sa buntag sa Enero 23, 2025, sa Purok 9, Poblacion, Damulog, Bukidnon

Sumala sa report ni Police Captain Nilo C. Maderse, OIC sa Damulog Municipal Police Station, usa ka concerned citizen sa Damulog Public Market ang nitaho sa insidente ngadto sa buhatan sa kapolisan.

Ang pasiunang imbestigasyon nagpadayag nga ang usa ka panaglalis tali sa biktima ug ang suspek niulbo sa mainit nga komprontasyon tungod sa pangabugho. Atol sa ilang panaglalis, ang suspek nikuha og kutsilyo gikan sa kusina ug gidunggab ang biktima, nga nasamdan sa wala nga bahin sa dughan ug sa duha ka tuhod.

Duha ka mga lalaki ang gipandunggab sa pre-wedding occasion sa Purok 7, Brgy. Pualas, Baungon, Bukidnon hapon sa Agosto 25, 2024

Sumala sa report ni Police Major Melchor Saraus. Jr., OIC sa Baungon Municipal Police Station, ang mga biktima isa ka 37-anyos ug 25-anyos samtang ang suspek isa ka 33-anyos nga lalaki.

Ang mga biktima nag-inom sa ilimnong makahubog sa dihang nahiabot ang suspek nga ilang giaagni nga moapil kanila.

Nahitabo ang panaglalis tali sa mga biktima ug suspek.

Gikatahong niadto sa kusina ang suspek, nikuha og kutsilyo dayong dunggab sa mga biktima ug nisibat.

Ang mga biktima gidala sa Northern Mindanao Medical Center sa Cagayan de Oro City.

Lantapan LGU provides communication skills training, empowers LGBTQIA+ as change agents

MALAYBALAY CITY (January 7, 2025) — To empower LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and other identities) as catalysts for change, the local government unit (LGU) of Lantapan conducted training in Malaybalay City on December 18-19

The workshop focused on social media management, news writing, and broadcasting, emphasizing the media’s power to amplify marginalized voices and shape public discourse.
Participants delved into the intricacies of social media platforms and guided participants in crafting impactful content, building strong online communities, and effectively combating misinformation.
The training empowered LGBTQIA+ members to harness the power of social media to raise awareness about their rights, promote inclusivity, and foster meaningful dialogue on critical community issues.
These skills are crucial for empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals to share authentic stories that challenge stereotypes, celebrate diversity, and bring attention to the issues impacting their community.
Beyond technical skills, the workshop emphasized the participants’ ethical responsibilities, encouraging them to approach content creation with integrity and respect for all individuals.
By combining technical expertise with a strong advocacy foundation, the program ensures that LGBTQIA+ members are not only skilled communicators but also effective agents of change.
This initiative by the Lantapan local government underscores the significance of inclusive governance and active participation in societal discourse. By equipping LGBTQIA+ members with valuable media skills, the LGU fosters a more informed and empowered community, ready to take on leadership roles and advocate for positive change.

LGU’s Support

Lantapan Mayor Ernie Devibar acknowledged the LGBTQIA+ community as an integral part of the locality.
“In Lantapan, we actively include our LGBTQIA+ community in our initiatives and programs. Every June 12, during the Independence Day celebration, we organize events for our LGBTQIA+ community, where they can showcase their talents through pageants and other activities. This reflects the Lantapan local government’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society where the voices of all its citizens, including the LGBTQIA+ community, are heard and valued,” the mayor said.
Dem Alfonso, 19, thanked the Lantapan local government for this valuable opportunity.

DOLE-Bukidnon updates over 300 entrepreneurs on labor laws

MALAYBALAY CITY (May 27, 2024/PIA) – To stay informed about the most recent labor laws, more than 300 small business owners in Malaybalay City participated in the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Bukidnon’s TAV (Technical and Advisory Visit) program on May 17

The labor department conducted a series of TAVs to assist small business owners with self-evaluation and compliance with documentary requirements.

These sessions provided valuable insights and guidance, offering a platform for business owners to voice their concerns and engage in face-to-face discussions with DOLE representatives.

Key topics included statutory monetary benefits, types of leave, social welfare, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs.

Video presentations explained various aspects of labor laws, such as the General Labor Standards and the TAV Action Plan.

Ma. Elna Seguiro, a senior DOLE-Bukidnon labor officer, emphasized that the TAVs align with DOLE’s new developmental approach outlined in Department Order No. 238. This approach underscores the enforcement of labor standards mandated by the Philippine Labor Code and Republic Act No. 11058.

“The TAVs mark an impactful step towards engaging with a wider range of establishments, from small businesses to larger companies, fostering a culture of compliance, and promoting fair and ethical labor practices,” Seguiro said.

Niña Cosmod, a supervisor at Biaños Pizza Bukidnon, expressed her gratitude for the initiative.

“We thanked DOLE for conducting this TAV orientation. It allowed us to review what is lacking in our establishment that we must comply with and follow,” she said.

Through these initiatives, DOLE-Bukidnon prioritizes workers’ safety and fair treatment by supporting local industries and ensuring their adherence to labor laws, benefiting both workers and businesses.
